Robert’s dad died when he was a year old. Vernie’s mom
died when she was a teenager. Through the years, they
both suffered much of Job’s trials, as all people devoted
to God and trying to live a Christian life will suffer.
They remained faithful to God to the very end. Their
family is very thankful to them for so very much in life!!

Ken is the proud father of three daughters and two sons:
Juanita, Barbara, Ray, Sean and Tami.
Ken served in the US Air Force for
21 years, then later Napa Auto Parts and office work.
His first marriage lasted 38 years.
Stella is the proud mother of two daughters: Roberta & Loretta.
Stella worked in offices for years and
was an owner/administrator of a rest home.
Her first marriage lasted 35 years. Ken & Stella got married in 2005.

Robert & Vernie were the proud parents of four daughters
and one son: Betty, Cecil, Rose, Stella & Augie.
They were married for over 30 years when Robert died in 1970.

On the site below, we see some of the struggles Anna Mills had to
deal with. Anna is Ken’s grandma from WV. Anna’s husband,
Edgar died in 1936 and was buried on Ken’s Mom’s 15th birthday.
Anna had many sons, grandsons & great grandsons who have served
In the US military. She also had lost 2 sons in World War 2. Both
were buried overseas. She never forgot about God. In 1949 she lost
a daughter and 2 grandsons as a result of a house fire. In the 1960’s,
she lost a grandson in Viet Nam. She also kept her spirits up during
her many lifetime struggles, and she was an inspiration for her
family and neighbors through many years.

Anna Mills’ oldest daughter, Beulah married Ralph Watson.
They had 17 children. One died as a baby. One died in Viet Nam.
Two died in 2 different car accidents.
In 2008, all of the remaining 16 children attended the
Watson Family Reunion at Covington, VA.

Roberta & Brian Hill
Roberta is the proud mother of one son. When Brian was 18 months old,
he developed type 1 brittle diabetes. Roberta has not been able to work at a paying
job due to the constant care this type of diabetes has required through the years.
When Brian was 14 years old, Roberta started doing home schooling. Roberta
did work as nurses’ aid and attended college for a little while to become a nurse.
As a mother, Roberta has devoted more time to her child than most mothers do.
As a hobby, Roberta writes poems, draws cartoons and has many web pages.

LPN nurse, Juanita became an RN nurse in 2004. She accomplished this
as a mother of 4, with a full time job as a nurse at a nursing home with 3
at home and helping to plan a wedding for her oldest daughter. In 2006

Ken’s Next Oldest Daughter, Barbara & Family 1980-2000’s
Barbara is the proud mother of one daughter and two sons: Anna, Michael & KC.
Barbara is married to Joe. She works for Coke. Barbara’s major challenge
was in 2003 when she became a proud grandmother. When Ashley was 2 weeks old,
her body shut down, and she died. This devastated Barbara & her daughter, Anna.
In 2006, Barbara became a grandmother again. Emma is a healthy little girl and
once again we see that happy look on Barbara’s, Joe’s & Anna’s faces!
